Our facility at Holt is an Independent Living Apartment Complex, where we provide loving Christian care to the elderly. We have been a dedicated leader in this field for over 40 years, following God's teaching in the Bible that the aging should be cared for in a respectful, loving way, which serves their changing physical and spiritual needs. Those of all Christian faiths are welcome at Holt.
The apartment complex at Holt is located adjacent to the Courts of Holt Nursing and Rehab Center. It is a campus-style village on 11 meticulously cared for wooded acres where residents can live as independently as they desire, in an atmosphere of security, care and respect, while receiving the help that they require. Residents enjoy the flexibility and convenience of apartment rental. This allows residents to live independently without the worry of property or exterior maintenance. There is plenty of opportunity for companionship, as residents will easily find neighbors sharing the same interests. At Holt there is a great sense of community and all our residents can enjoy as active a social life or as much independence as they wish. Apartments include items such as bay windows, central air, walk in showers with seats, full size stove & refrigerators, and a sprinkler system. The apartments at Holt are located within several separate apartment buildings on the campus that are connected by heated walkways. Each building has communal areas, which include two gas fireplaces, and a library and formal dining areas. For each apartment, there is a storage cage approximately 4x4x6 feet for easy storage of possessions. The campus has a central community center where many on-site social and recreational activities take place. The community center has a beauty salon / barbershop, which is currently open 6 days a week. Here residents can enjoy services at prices that are below normal for the area. The campus has an on-site chapel and our Chaplain is on-site 3 days a week. The beautiful Holt campus has many mature trees and is a haven for wildlife. Residents can enjoy walking or cycling here in safety and peace, away from roads with busy traffic. There are many picturesque flowerbeds and a garden area, where our residents can enjoy gardening and planting flowers, fruit or vegetables. Services
We now offer - medication reminders, bathing/hygeine care, personal laundry, and extra meals. We provide caring services to enable our residents to continue to live independently, but with security and without worry about household chores. Once a day we serve a well-balanced 4-course meal, in the dining hall of each apartment building. To try to please all, there are two choices for each course. Although we cannot accommodate special diets, we have taken common dietary requirements into consideration in the preparation of our menus. For example, we offer a low sodium soup, white meat as a choice every day, and fruit instead of a sweet as a dessert choice for diabetics and the health-conscious. Our housekeepers visit each apartment for one hour every week, and this is included in the rent. The housekeeper will do everything from the dishes to bed changing and all typical housework tasks. Weekly flat linen laundry is also included. Our residents can order groceries from a list and once a week our staff will buy and deliver these to the apartments. Residents pay for the groceries and just $3 for delivery. Once a month we have a trip for residents to do their own shopping at a local mega store. Activities
At Holt, we offer many on and off-site activities. These allow our residents to socialize, helps promote a sense of community, and allows our new residents to make friends and settle in easily. The campus has an on-site chapel, which offers regular services. Our Chaplain offers Bible study sessions in the chapel. The Chaplain is on-site 3 days a week, and offers other services such as Christian counseling and private visits. In the community center, we have many activities for residents. There are always regular Bridge, Euchre and Bingo nights, along with many different game nights, pot lucks and pizza nights among others. At holidays, there are parties and special events. Regular off-site activities include trips to: restaurants, movies, concerts, ball games and other events. The campus style Village, located on Holt's meticulously maintained 11 wooded acres, will offer the freedom to pursue an independent lifestyle in an atmosphere of security, care, and respect. You will live your life as you desire and deserve, and when you are ready for company, you will be able to find neighbors whose interests match yours.
